Rollins Band "Weight" LP

1994's Weight is the fourth studio effort from the Rollins Band and the group's most well known release and biggest seller thanks to the runaway hit "Liar," incited by its famous accompanying neck bulging MTV video. The solid 12-song set marked the Rollins Band's first with jazz bassist Melvin Gibbs in place of longtime member Andrew Weiss, but despite this new dimension the songs are actually more concise and less excessive than previous outings. Home to additional stand outs like "Disconnect" and "Shine," Weight served as both an artistic and commercial triumph for the Rollins Band; officially kick starting the ascension of its namesake towards the all encompassing media presence he enjoys to this day.
