After a 7”, a 10” and a four way split 10” on Rebellion Records, the Aussies of RazorCut didn’t only switched things up in their line-up but they switched of labels as well for the release of their brand new EP “Battles”. This time German record label Bootboys’ Cove Records has the honors of releasing two tracks by one of Australia’s up and coming bands, the title track “Battles” and “Another Rich Man”!
“Battles” is actually one of the first tracks the band ever released and an earlier version, with old vocalist Owen, was already one of the four tracks on the “Combative Attitude” EP released in 2012. It was already a favorite track, but with Al’s vocals, and the new line-up in general, it only got better! And that is only the A-side, because the B-side of this record, that contains the song “Another Rich Man”, might be RazorCut’s best work yet! Fantastic lyrics, great melody and female back-up vocals round this track up. The band has really grown within a year or two and this song proves what these byrds and bulls are capable of in the future!
