Newcastle, Australia band Eat Your Heart Out will release their debut album ‘Florescence' via Fearless Records / Caroline Australia.
Eat Your Heart Out carry on the tradition of Australia's impressive history of musical outliers from Silverchair to The Amity Affliction and Parkway Drive, but they do so unequivocally on their own terms. The group's ability to meld aspects of grunge with an emo energy, punk power, and pop prowess can be heard onprevious EP releases but their refreshingly unique approach to rock music has been leveled up on Eat Your Heart Out's debut album.
“I felt like I grew up a lot in the last year, in an emotional sense, and I learned how to deal with these kind of experiences in new ways” says lead singer Caitlin Henry. “So I wanted [an album] title that encompassed the idea of growing up and maturing, and it took us a while to come across the word ‘florescence' but when we did we knew straight away that it was what we were looking for. It refers to the act of flowering or blooming, and I found it really interesting that I'd never come across the word before.”
Eat Your Heart Out is Caitlin Henry on vocals, Andrew Anderson and Will Moore on guitar, Dom Cant on bass and Jake Cronin on drums
