Snowpine is the debut album from Tamworth-born singer-songwriter Charlie Collins, featuring singles 'Wish You Were Here', 'Mexico', 'Beautifully Blind' and 'Please Let Me Go'. The album was nominated for Best Country Album at the 2019 ARIA Awards.
After picking up a guitar for the first time at the tender age of 9, there was no turning back for Charlie Collins. "I knew music was it for me at that moment - it's always been what I've wanted to do," she declares.
After years of trying to fit in making music that wasn't true to her and the ultimate decision to stop fighting and return to her roots, the recognition of an ARIA nomination is not something Charlie has taken lightly. "I worked so hard to be seen and I never felt like I was," she explains. "To be recognized for something that means so fucking much to me is just so nuts."
Like her musical heroes Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and Hank Williams, Charlie Collins writes about real experiences - her own or those close to her. "I can't make up stories anymore - I'm done with that, I'm done pretending. Everything I write is real," she explains.
