The album debuted and peaked at #1 on the Billboard 200, selling over 872,000 copies in its 1st week. It generated over 5 singles, including the #1 hits "In da Club" and "21 Questions", and the international hit "P.I.M.P." By 2016, Get Rich or Die Tryin' sold 8.4 million copies in the United States and is certified 6× platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Upon its release, the album received universal widespread critical acclaim from most music critics and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. The album ranked #37 on Rolling Stone's list of best albums of the 2000s.
