Following-up Public Enemy's classic trilogy of recordings - Yo! Bum Rush the Show (1987), It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back (1988) and Fear of a Black Planet (1990) - 1991's Apocalypse 91...The Enemy Strikes Black saw the Bomb Squad transition to executive producers and Imperial Grand Ministers of Funk take over primary production duties for the first time. The results are as indignant and political as ever on standouts like "Bring the Noise," "Can't Truss It," "Shut 'Em Down" and "By The Time I Get To Arizona." Public Enemy was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013, making them the fourth hip hop act after Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, Run-DMC and the Beastie Boys.
