Washington DC's Black Clouds finds itself at their most paradoxical on "Dreamcation": it's alternately aggressive and ambient, often in the same song, and sometimes in the same part; the sense of doom that pervaded their debut is now more effectively curbed enough to let the light in. Indeed, "Dreamcation" is complex, but communicative - discarding language for raw power and the well-placed pulse of an ecstatic drone. For fans of Deafheaven, Explosions In The Sky and Caspian.
