The book and CD are based on Phil Nerges' experiences as a civilian working in Iraq during the height of the war. Phil came back from Iraq very inspired and slightly shell shocked, with a book full of poems, stories and things he knew were songs. Though not a musician, he knew his friend Vic Ruggiero could put the words into songs. The record has 8 songs and another 7 tracks of readings done by Phil Nerges.
